Flexible Shaft Skylights
Flexible shaft skylights are available in many different sizes from the 300mm round right up to a 900mm square. This ensures that we have a flexible shaft skylight suitable for all applications and all sizes are available in the DIY kit form or they can be fully installed by our qualified tradesman.

Double glazing is installed in the throat of the skylight.
A skylight is comprised of the components below.
* Dome: UV stabilized acrylic to allow maximum light penetration.
* Roof Frame: Manufactured in either .55galv or zincalume. Colour matched roof frames are also available.
* Flexible Duct: Available in various round sizes with an ultra reflective inner surface which allows the maximum amount of light receiv
Spinning and Static Roof Vents
Univents
The ventilators are a natural ventilating product ie no electricity or wiring is required. A slight breeze is sufficient to spin the rotary turbines, but even without wind it still ventilates.
Product Features:
* The univent rotates on two precision steel ball bearings which are individually sealed and lubricated for a longer life.
* The anti corrosive construction using a high grade aluminium gives peace of mind for be it rain or shine the univent will remain rust free and it requires no maintenance.
* Fibreglass reinforced arms to deliver a silent and smooth rotation.
* The injection moulded cross brace secures the spinning head to the throat of the vent in not three but four separate places.
The ventilators are available in a mill finish or in any of the current colourbond colours.
Static Roof Vents
Static roof vents are used to duct an exhaust fan installed at the ceiling level through to the outside atmosphere.

As a founding member of the Skylight Industry Association, Direct Skylights are dedicated to providing a quality skylight.
It is a requirement of the Skylight Industry Association that all members skylights are tested to the Australian Standard AS4285.This testing includes
* Resistance to concentrated loads - When tested the skylight assembly shall withstand a load of 1.1kN (110kg) and this load shall be maintained on the skylight dome for not less than 1 minute without cracking the dome.
* Resistance to wind pressures for non-cyclone regions - The skylight assembly shall be subjected to the test pressure for strength limit state for non-cyclone regions, as specified in accordance with AS 4040.2. The pressure shall be sustained and all parts of the skylight assembly shall remain in position.
* Watertightness - When tested in accordance with AS 4046.9 there shall be no dripping or streaming of water from any part of the skylight assembly including the flashing. The s
Vented Skylights
Vented skylights are available in various forms.
The passively vented skylight allows a transfer of air into the room, however if a greater volume of air transfer is required then a mechanically vented skylight is an option.
This is available in two options:
* Larger traditional skylights with the exhaust fan installed on the dome or
* Smaller skylights where the mechanical ventilation is separate to the skylight.
Mechanically Vented Skylights
* By combining the exhaust fan in the skylight it removes the need to have a skylight for the light and then a separate exhaust fan at the ceiling.
* These units are especially suitable for bathrooms, laundries and kitchens.
* The exhaust fan has a ball bearing motor for continuous running and is a completely weatherproof unit designed especially for skylight domes.
* At the ceiling there is a glocell diffuser, also known as an eggcrate diffuser. This allows the transfer of air from the room below to t
